AUTUMN Postpones German Tour
June 4, 2009Dutch female-fronted metallers AUTUMN have issued the following update:
"Due to production-related reasons, we have decided to postpone our German shows until after the summer. This way we will be able to give the audience an AUTUMN show it deserves. Obviously this is unfortunate, since we all invested time and means in preparing for this tour.
"We apologize to our fans, who were probably looking forward to this as much a we have. We also regret the fact that GWYLLION will not be able to join us on the new dates in September.
"These new dates will be announced very soon.
"The June 5 show with STREAM OF PASSION at 013 in Tilburg will continue as planned."
Affected dates:
Jun. 06 - DE - Berlin - Knaack Klub
Jun. 07 - DE - Köln - Luxor
Jun. 08 - DE - München - Backstage Club
Jun. 09 - DE - Bochum - Matrix
Jun. 10 - DE - Frankfurt - Nachtleben
Jun. 11 - DE - Hamburg - Headbanger's Ballroom
"The Heart Demands", the new video from AUTUMN, can be viewed below. Some of the footage for the clip was shot during the band's March 14 concert at The Rock Temple in Kerkrade, Holland.
"Altitude", the fourth studio album from AUTUMN, recently entered the national chart in the band's home country at position No. 94.
AUTUMN played a CD-release show for "Altitude" on February 13 at Tivoli-De Helling in Utrecht, Holland. Check out photos from Utrecht Roxx.
"Altitude" was released in February in Europe via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Arno Krabman's Graveland Studio and was mixed and mastered by Jochem Jacobs (TEXTURES) at Split Second Sound.
The limited first edition of "Altitude" was made available as a digipak including an exclusive bonus track.
AUTUMN in February 2008 announced the addition of singer Marjan Welman to the group's ranks. She replaced Nienke de Jong, who left the band in January 2008.
Within the Dutch rock scene, Marjan is considered to be a promising talent with her warm voice and perfect timing. Her vocal contribution on the AYREON album "01011001" received outstanding reviews and shows a singer who stands her ground between a selection of highly acclaimed international vocalists.
